Obituary for Bruce D. Cameron

Bruce Duncombe Cameron, age 55, of Johnsburg, died unexpectedly June 10, 2018 at his home. He was born June 15, 1962 in Aurora to George and Sally (Duncombe) Cameron. On February 21, 1997, Bruce married Karen Pomierski in Key West Florida.

Bruce has been a resident of Johnsburg for 22 years. He was a valued Regional Manager for TGW International. Most of all, Bruce had a passion for the water and sailing. He was a former member of the Pistakee Yacht Club and a current member of the Lake Geneva Yacht Club. Bruce was a devoted husband, loving father, and a great friend to many. He will truly be missed.

Bruce leaves behind his loving wife, Karen; daughter, Corin; his mother, Mrs. Sally (Harry) Schauwecker; his sister, Melinda (William) Womick ; niece Jacklyn and nephew Reece; two brothers-in-law, Thomas Pomierski and David (Tabitha) Pomierski; a sister-in-law Lynn (Tony) Sacramento; his stepmother LouAnn (George) Cameron; and stepbrothers and stepsisters, Steve (Jan) Schauwecker, Michael (Shelley) Schauwecker, Timothy (Erin) Schauwecker, Julie Spyres, and Amy (David) Williams.

Bruce was preceded in death by his father, George Cameron.

Friends and neighbors may gather on Saturday, June 23, 2018 by 4:30 p.m. for the 5:00 p.m. Celebration of Life and Memories at the Pistakee Yacht Club, 3300 Rocky Beach Road, Johnsburg, IL. 60051.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to a charity of choice in Bruce’s name.
