Obituary for Louis "Temo" Cornelio

Louis Cornelio, age 79, of Round Lake Beach, died Saturday, February 3, 2018, at his residence. He was born July 24, 1938, in Chicago, to Luis and Mary (Martinez) Cornelio.

Louis was a proud U.S. Army Veteran, who served during peacetime and during the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962. He was a valued employee, working as a boil maker for American Boiler Inc. in Chicago. He then became a facility manager at the Mundelein Elementary School. Louis was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

He is survived by three brothers, Mario (Darleen) Cornelio, Michael (the late Helen) Cornelio, Jose Cornelio; two sisters, Carmen Cornelio, Mary (Edward) Barba; adopted son, Guillermo Cornelio; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Louis was preceded in death by his wife Cecilia, his brother Domingo Cornelio, and his sister Rebecca Moreno.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Justen Round Lake Funeral Home, 222 N. Rosedale Court, Round Lake, IL 60050. Visitation will resume Friday, 8:15 a.m. at the funeral home. The funeral Mass will be 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 114 N. Lincoln Avenue, Round Lake, IL 60073.

Interment will be in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL.
