In Loving Memory Marilyn Anna Groves 2/10/1945 - 1/25/2010

Marilyn Anna Groves, age 64, of Round Lake Beach, died Monday, January 25, 2010, at her home. She was born Feb. 10, 1945 in Chicago to Lynn Sr. and Evelyn (Busch) Knoth. On November 22, 1968, she married Edward Groves at Our Lady of Grace Church in Chicago.

Formerly of Chicago, she was a resident of Round Lake since 1978. She was employed by Illinois Tool Works for 16 years, working in Quality Control.

Marilyn was an artist, and loved to do drawings and make nature scenes to give as gifts. She loved taking care of her home, both inside as well landscaping outside. Other enjoyments included fishing behind her house and in Minnesota, music and dancing, going to the mall, taking rides in the car to go just about anywhere, and riding on the back of their motorcycle.. She will be remembered as a very strong woman all the way to the end., who was very pleased when she was able to take care of her husband.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Edward; two brothers, Lynn Jr. (Patricia) Knoth of Streamwood and Ronald Knoth of Chicago; a niece and three nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, January 28, 2010, at Justen’s Round Lake Funeral Home, 222 N. Rosedale Court, Round Lake, IL 60073. The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Interment will be private.

Her family suggests memorials to Save-A-Pet, Grayslake.
