Dolores M. Krueger, age 84, of Johnsburg, died Monday, February 15, 2010 at her home.
She was born May 1, 1925 in Chicago to Stanley J. and Martha (Kulpit) Knasiak. On October 19, 1946, she married Herman Krueger at St. Mary of Perpetual Help Church in Chicago.
Dolores was a clerical worker in the office for World’s Finest Chocolate in Chicago for over 33 years. She was a member of Five Holy Martyrs’ Church in Brighton Park, Chicago.
In 1987, she and husband moved to McHenry from Chicago. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Johnsburg. Dolores was godmother to fourteen children, and will be remembered by family and friends as a great cook and a doting grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Herman “Hershey” Krueger; four sons, Dennis (Karen) Krueger of Bloomington, MN., Kenneth Krueger of Brownsville, TX., Alan (Brian) Krueger of Minneapolis, MN., and Wayne Krueger of Johnsburg; six grandchildren, Michelle (Sean) Bergmann, Jennifer (Marcus) Sipiera, Brian (Lisa) Krueger, Jeff Krueger, Christopher (Krissy) Krueger, Don (Stacy) Mitchell; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert (Elaine) Knasiak of Louisville, KY., Jimmy (Betty) Knasiak of Gardnerville, NV; two sisters, Dorothy (the late Mickey) Krueger of Crestwood, Patricia Knasiak of San Clemente, CA; and a sister-in-law, Sister Mary Augusta Krueger of Bartlett; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Richie (the late Irene) Knasiak and Bill (the late Arlene) Knasiak.
The visitation will be on Thursday, February 18, 2010 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, Il 60050.
Visitation will resume on Friday, February 19, from 8:30 a.m. until leaving at 9 a.m. for the 9:30 a.m. funeral Mass at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2302 W. Church St., Johnsburg, Il 60051.
Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL at 1 p.m. at the interment chapel.
