Barbara F. O'Gorman

Barbara F. O’Gorman, age 46 of McHenry, died Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Hospice of Northeastern Illinois in Woodstock.

She was born December 28, 1963 in St. Louis, Missouri, to Brady P. and Margaret A. (Finley) Burnette. On December 22, 1995, she married Robert D.O’Gorman in Woodstock.

Barbara attended Elgin Community College. She was a valued employee of Black Dot in Crystal Lake until 2000, when she left to devote time to raising her family. Active with the Cub Scouts, she also volunteered at Hilltop School in McHenry.

In addition to family activities, she loved flowers and enjoyed planting and tending to her annual vegetable garden.

Survivors include her husband, Robert D. O'Gorman of McHenry; two children, Brady and Brandon O'Gorman; her parents, Brady P. and Margaret Burnette of Lawrenceville, GA; two sisters, Elizabeth (Steve) Schaff of Highland Park and Linda (Robert) Fisher of Crystal Lake; a brother, William Burnette of Rock Falls; her mother-in-law, Ruth Davis of Marengo; her father-in-law, Frank O’Gorman of Woodstock; two brothers-in-law, John O’Gorman and Bill (Myrna) O’Gorman, both of Crystal Lake; a sister-in-law, Carolyn (Daniel) Villarreal of Harvard; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a nephew, Johnny O’Gorman.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Justen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, IL 60050. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Inurnment will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Church Cemetery in Johnsburg.

Memorials are suggested by her family to the O’Gorman Children Educational Fund, c/o Justen Funeral Home, P. O. Box 343, McHenry, IL 60051.
