Morris A. Ketchum, age 82, died Friday, June 11, 2010 at Centegra Hospital - Woodstock.
He was born June 3, 1928 in Crystal Lake to Howard Roy and Mamie Pauline (King) Ketchum. On January 13, 1951 he married Caroljean Rita Mercure in McHenry.
Born in Crystal Lake, Morrie moved to McHenry as an adult. He owned and operated his own auto mechanic business in McHenry, Morrie & Sons, since 1960 until his retirement.
He was a member of the McHenry Moose Lodge and the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by four sons, Michael (Billie) Ketchum of Sarona, WI, Mark (Angie) Ketchum of McHenry, Matthew (Jenny) Ketchum of Racine, WI., Mitchell (Renée) Ketchum of McHenry; eight grandchildren, Shawn, Shari, Sonja, Serenity, Brandon, Julie, Austin, Lainiek; ten great grandchildren; and a sister, Martha Smith of Union.
He was preceded in death by his wife Caroljean on June 25, 2009; his parents; and 16 brothers and sisters.
Friends may visit with the family from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 Charles Miller Road, McHenry, IL 60050.
The funeral blessing will be at 7:30 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Sherry officiating.
Inurnment will be in The Church of Holy Apostles Cemetery, McHenry.

Uncle Morrie will always remain a very favorite uncle.His tricks and funny jokes always kept me on my toes.I will also never forget the kindness and love he showed to JoAnn and myself when we visited as well as to the rest of my siblings.God Bless all of you and please accept my condolences to the entire family. I know his passing will leave an emptiness in all of your hearts as it will mine.
