In Loving Memory Bill F. Roberts 4/21/1936 - 7/15/2010

Bill F. Roberts, age 74, of Round Lake, died Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.

He was born April 21, 1936 in Fulton, Mississippi to Melvin and Buelah (Moore) Roberts. On June 14, 1958 he married Elsie M. Endicott in Waukegan.

Formerly of Prairie View, Bill had been a resident of Round Lake for the past fifteen years.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Korea.

He was employed as a machinist for Courtesy Mold & Tool of Buffalo Grove, and also Bell & Gossett in Morton Grove.

Bill enjoyed music, especially country, and he was an avid guitarist. He was a member of the American Legion Post 1247 of Vernon Township, the V.F.W. Post 4308 of Lake Villa and AmVets Post 66 of Wheeling.

He is survived by his wife Elsie of 52 years; three children, Kenneth (Rosemarie) Roberts of Round Lake Beach, Keith Roberts of Round Lake Beach, Kelly Roberts of Round Lake; a granddaughter, Michelle; two brothers, John (Elizabeth) Roberts of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Joe (Kaye) Roberts of Dixon; and a sister, Syble (the late Charles) Chamblee of Fulton, Mississippi.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Marshall; and four sisters, Pauline, Hortense, Voncelle, and Opal.

Friend and neighbors may greet the family from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Justen’s Round Lake Funeral Home, 222 W. North Rosedale Court (at Cedar Lake Road) Round Lake, IL 60073.

The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 20, at the funeral home. The Rev. Lisle Kauffman will officiate.

Cremation rite will be accorded to him. Interment will be private.
