James Byron Hall, age 77, of Johnsburg, died Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Centegra Hospital in McHenry.
He was born April 7, 1933 in Oak Park to Roy and Lydia (Krapel) Hall. On October 25, 1975 he married Therese M. Riley in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
Previously of Stevens Point, Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Crystal Lake, he later resided in Johnsburg for over 20 years. He and his wife have spent the last 15 summers as part-time residents of Lauderdale Lakes in Wisconsin.
He was employed in claims and liability insurance for CNA Insurance Co., Sentry Insurance Co., and Kemper Insurance, retiring at the age of 62.
He regularly attended the Stade Contemporary Worship Center.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Therese; a son Jay (Wendy) Hall of Phoenix, AZ; a grandson, Hank; his mother, Lydia Hall of St. Petersburg, FL; and a brother, Roy Jr. (the late Nancy) Hall of St. Petersburg.
He was preceded in death by his father; a son, Jeffrey; and a brother, Richard Hall.
Visitation will be on Monday, July 26, 2010, from 3:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, IL 60050. The funeral service will be at 6 p.m., with Rev. Teri Peterson officiating.
Interment will be private.
