Brett Anthony Manny, age 51, of Wonder Lake, died Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Centegra Hospital - McHenry.
He was born March 23, 1959 in Chicago to Eugene and Rosemary (Posinger) Manny. On April 16, 1983 he married Jane E. Peschke at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in McHenry.
A Wonder Lake resident of 21 years, Brett was employed in drywall construction for residential and commercial for the past sixteen years.
He was an avid fisherman, loved wrestling and snowmobiling and enjoyed helping out his friends and neighbors.
Survivors include his wife Jane of 27 years; a son Jared; and two brothers, George Manny of Woodstock and Keith Manny of McHenry.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday, July 29, at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, Il 60050.
The funeral service will be at 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 29 at the funeral home.

Jane and family, may God comfort all of you on the loss of Brett. We hadn't seen each other since high school in McHenry, but memories of Brett make me smile. I am so sorry for your loss and am praying for you all.

Brett was and will always be one of my best friends. He was always there for me. His personality was one of a kind and will be surely missed. My memories of him will live forever with me. My prayers go out to you Jane and Gerad.
